Summer 2025

Welcome to the summer season 2025 at Västernorrland County Museum. A detailed version of the summer program in English can be downloaded using the button at the bottom of this page.

Opening hours summer season 2025

The museum is open every day of the week during the summer period June 16–August 17. You can find the hours below.

Museum building:
Exhibitions and museum shop 10:00–16:00.
Café Murberget 11:00–16:00.

Special opening until 20:00 on June 12.

Open-air museum:
School, Prästgården, Ångermanlandsgården, Torpet, Kyrkvallen, Murbergskyrkan and Kägelbanan 10:00–16:00.
Wulkanska huset and Trampmangeln 12:00–16:00.
In Handelsboden you can buy old-fashioned caramel cones, baskets, kerosene lamps and much more 12:00–16:00. 

Special opening on National Day June 6 12:00–15:00.

Västernorrland Museum – Summer Program 2025 (Highlights)

The summer season at Västernorrland Museum and Murberget Open-Air Museum runs from June 16 to August 17. Here’s a selection of some of the many exciting events happening this summer. Free admission to most programs. You can download the full summer program using the button at the bottom of this page.

Please note that most events, such as tours of exhibitions and the open-air museum, are conducted in Swedish only, but you are of course still very welcome to attend.
